1985 and on.... Trying to think of the best themed pins for this and came up with the following:

Sorcerer
Grand Lizard
Swords of Fury
Black Knight 2000
Medieval Madness

Please let me know the ones I'm missing, this is the theme I am into for the most part....

They made a lot of them over the years, it was a popular theme. Here's a bunch from my list...

Catacomb (Stern)
Arena
Black Knight 2000
Atlantis
Conan
Dungeons & Dragons
Excalibur
Gladiators
Gorgar
Joust
Krull
Lady Death
Magic
Magic Castle
Medieval Madness
Medusa
Middle Earth
Mystery Castle
Paragon
Sorcerer
Swords of Fury
Viking

I'm pretty much looking for any of these myself right now...

Krull? Good luck with that. There's like what.. 10 made, and at least 2 known working examples and one is now HEP restored? 30,000$+ pin right there I would bet. :p

Wow I didn't realize there were that many. Mystery Castle?? Never heard of that one but it looks awesome. I have to play a Joust, looks pretty cool. Is Medieval Madness worth the $10K price tag???? And yes I would trade anything for a Krull but I don't think I'll ever find one...

Have you ever played it? If not you can get a decent feel for it on the Williams collection for PS3 or the 360. It's also on the Pinball Arcade for iPad and such. I wouldn't mind owning the game, but really don't want to pay that kind of money for one. Same for AFM.

I'm sure if you get on some of the more active pinball forums you can find someone in the area that has one and you can check out a properly playing one. I think that would be key, especially if your considering buying one at today's prices. I would also want to play a real one over the video game version, those are good for learning rules and such, but nothing replaces the real thing.
