A friend of mine gave me a Medalist Dartstar 2000 but when I turn it on I get the menu to flash and then it immediately goes into showing a message that says "stuck segment" "triple sixteen"
I have adjusted the voltage at the logic board to 5.15V, Pulled the matrix out and it does not appear to be damaged. I have disconnected the matrix from the logic board and still have the same resulting message. I have tried to put set the dip switches to enable operator mode but it will not budge from the stuck segment message.
I was told by the previous owner that he thinks a chip on the board is bad but does not know which chip it is.
Is there anyway to test the chips to determine which might be bad? Is there perhaps a source for a replacement logic board or somewhere I can take it or mail it to have it repaired?
