med res monitor price?

well, i'm ready to toss my apb screen burnt one and switch out my not perfect (no burn) championship sprint.
so unless they are perfect, maybe very minimal burn, not much i'd say.

I gave up looking for a medium Res and bought a VGA converter board. Going to squeeze a 25 in the paperboy.

$230 shipped for a 25" medium res on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEOTEC-25E-25-I...247?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c1a60a39f

so i'd say less for a smaller size and even less for APB burn.

I'm currently going the way of a CGA to VGA converter using a 21" (20" viewable) VGA CRT monitor. The medium res -> vga is not that big of leap than say CGA to VGA so it does not look that bad.
$40 for converter & ~$40 21" monitor on craigslist = DONE

I'm looking at doing this for my Championship Sprint. Post a thread with many pictures and all of the problems you run into so that I can learn from them and not repeat them. :D

I would not say that a 19" med res is worth less than a 25". Quite the contrary. 25" med res are still plentiful, 19" are scarce. They were really only used in Paperboy, APB, and Championship Sprint. There were many newer games that used 25" med-res.

I would say a K4915 would be worth 150.00 for just a nicely working, capped chassis.

Well I'd let my 19" med res monitor go for $150 including the no burn tube and recently capped chassis

If you were down the street, I would be all over that.
I have two chassis I am saving, both working with slight issues, I have never even seen an unburnt 19" med res tube. Most of the Paperboys and Champ sprints around here are far from perfect.

i found a mid res 19in in a trashed toobin a few weeks ago

Yeah, there's a handful of games that use a 19" medium resolution monitor....besides the 3 or 4 mentioned.....Super Sprint, Narc, and Escape From The Planet Of The Robot Monsters also come to mind.

escape is standard rez...

$150 for a zero burn medium is a killer deal..

FYI, a standard res tube was used on the majority of medium res 4900 monitors 19VMKP22. The chassis and yoke determine the resolution.
I will be making tubes available in the next few weeks.
