I just rebuilt a tron power supply board.

I plugged it into my Kozmik Krooz'r but the sounds were a touch off and missing in one instant.

Probably should have asked this before pluggin her in but oh well.

How do you test voltage on these power supply boards (I always forget)
I assume the 2 replacement pots are responsible for adjusting the voltage?

Can I test it with the 2 big connectors going to the main board unhooked?

There's an electrolytic cap beside the two 15-pin connectors....470uf, I believe. You can measure for 5VDC across this cap.....black lead on the negative leg of the cap....red lead on the positive leg. In the middle of the board is another 470uf cap. Measure for 12VDC across this cap....just like the 5VDC cap. Towards the two smaller connectors is another cap....I believe it's 4700uf. Measure across this cap for your audio voltage....it'll be approximately 12-16VDC. If you want to check the reset line.....put your black lead on the negative leg of the 5VDC cap (this is actualy ground)......stick your red lead inside the 15-pin connector's housing with the only purple wire....you should have around 5VDC.

it's actually on my kozmik krooz'r, I didn't get that tron.

Ok, I put a rebuilt beautiful specimen of an mcr linear power supply in, and it smoked a fuse.

pulled the 2 15 pin molex, replaced the fuse, tested again.
+5.10 across one cap (won't adjust lower) +12.23 across the other cab, didn't try to adjust.

+16.something across the huge cap.

game won't boot with this power board in.

put the old power board in, back in business, only the sounds are off, and test mode shows channel 6 with issues. Guess the new power board blew channel 6 huh?
