I have a Spy Hunter upright. Originally the music was not playing and I have done the usual stuff to get that working well:

Recapped and re-socketed the cheap squeak
Cleaned the various connectors
removed corrosion from all the ground straps and actually tightened the nuts

The music started working right away. :)

I tried to adjust the +5 voltage but at the maximum of the pot setting it's not quite good enough. The voltage of the CS board is still low though: 3.7x volt-ish

I ordered the 2 big caps from Bob Roberts the 55,000 25v and the 100,000 16v. Bob sent me a 56,000 25v cap? What's the correct part??? Bob is not responding after 2 days which is not his normal style.

Also if you have a picture of the bottom of the PS chassis that would be nice. thanks

I seriously doubt they make 55,000uf caps any more. 56,000uf is a standard value. It's a perfect replacement - the value here is not critical, and the difference of 1,000uf is far less than the manufacturing tolerance for these parts anyway.

Don't worry.

caps and stuff

Thanks. Bob just got back to me as well. I just wanted to verify, so I can replace the big caps... Life is good!
