My schematic only lists 10uH WW and 10uH mold. The molded part number was TRW API-100K but I can't find much info.

I have a few that smoked, so I need to buy a new part. What DC current rating is required? The power supply fuses are very high on these lines.

The parts they recommended were 500mA and 290mA. That might be ok for the small lines like reset or vbatt, but both seem low for the +12v since it's fused for 6A (reg) on my schematic.

The only thing I could find suggested that the original was a 1A part.

Do you have any Galaga, Pac-Man, etc filter boards?...you know, the things we all throw away. They've got a handful of those chokes on them...perfect for cannibalizing.:D

Thread resurrection: Any luck finding a suitable part?

L116 smoked on a couple of CPU boards due to the SSIO having a shorted tantalum cap on the 12v section. Don't really want to cannab from another MCR board (but do have plenty spares). Did you ever find a suitable part?

Thanks!

It's a simple part; there is no reason to cannibalize. I used Jameco 372007 (link) on that machine.

Almost any 10 uH choke that handles 500mA should be fine in that position. I haven't checked if any of the other positions require higher current.

Thanks!!! I got some earlier and then realized that they looked a bit wimpy compared to the originals.
