On eBay from sketchy sources.

It's from an early 80's game (Arabian).
I think I looked at his feedback and he's selling bullshit parts.

i guess you're right. sold 35,000+ parts and 99.7% feedback. i always buy regardless,
it's fun that way! haha... but...

is there a generic equivalent to this IC/CPU?

I hate buying IC's on eBay.
The Chinese will remark Parts and sell them. You have no idea what you're actually buying.

If there is a generic equivalent please point me to it.

I have bought from them before. I do not remember what it was, but I was not disappointed.

In lieu of other options I gambled and ordered one.
I'll report back with the outcome.

that Fujitsu IC/CPU (custom) is actually super incredibly rare to obtain!

also the # after the MB8841-xxxx is important to, as each cpu is custom.

most of those obsolete IC/CPU's were used in Sony turntables (models PS-X75, PS-X65,
and PS-X65C), but even buying a used/non-working one of those runs ya around $300+

the custom Sony part # for the MB8841 is 8-759-983-27

It's not going to matter.
There is a mask rom built into the IC and the data isn't available or extractable.
So unless someone decaps one I'm pretty much up that famous creek without a paddle.

Time to start looking for an Arabian board.
