Well it seems I have a particular penchant for gathering garbage. I picked up a pair of these Model S or Model H skee balls yesterday, luckily the price was right because these are probably going to cost to more fix than they're worth. I don't know, you guys tell me if they're salvageable. Testing the electronics, both power up and cycled through some scoring after I jumped some wires to start a game, so that's good. One ramp has slight damage, the other is in pretty good shape. Most if not all of the yellow side covers are there. The machine on the left has a manufacturing date of 1991, the right machine is 1988.
Ball return rail missing on one of them and incomplete on the other (no solenoid or arm assembly). They're both missing;
Balls
Backglass (? or whatever you call the marquee on these)
Net and net frame
Ball return rail stuff
Coin mech
Anything and everything on the left/ticket side
Legs, front and back
I've seen working machines listed about 4 hours away for $500 I feel like parts to get just one of these complete will be substantially more than that. Moreover it seems the parts I need can be difficult to obtain. I would be much obliged should any member take pity and offer a source for some reasonably priced parts to get one of these machines going again. They'd function as "dumb" machines now without electronics just fine but where's the fun in that?? Thanks in advance!
