Maybe a bit excited.

To be honest I still do normal teen shit.

As demonstrated by your rants in another thread! :)

No offense intended, I was just backing up your comment.

Like the others say in here, grab as much as you can from that place. Maybe you can get a 25" Wells for that MAME cab and use an ArcadeVGA video card in the PC which outputs CGA.

Look for a K7000... Those things are cake to fix!

That's awesome, and like others have said, make sure to post pics.

It's kind of neat to see another teen on here. I am actually only 15 myself and most of my friends can't see why I'd rather have arcade games (and an Atari 2600) over the modern systems!

Also, I'm still waiting to find my first warehouse full of games. I guess my time will come!

If you post a picture we can tell you what you've got.

These are the 2 harnesses I have. One I think has the monitor connection on it(The second one)

They both look like JAMMA harnesses though the second one looks like to have less of the positions populated with wire.

If you're looking to build a multi I would suggest using the first harness.

I agree. The first one would have the monitor connections as well, they're just not bundled like the ones on the second. You can find a pinout at jammaboards.com.

That second harness looks like it came from a Midway game (MK or NBA JAM). Contrary to what others are saying here I think its going to be easier to put in a cab.

The white and purple wires are all your control panel connections. The blue wires would have been some of the lower kick and run buttons on MK3 and higher. The monitor harness is easy to identify. The wires that have the screw lugs on them all go to the power supply. Black to GND, red to +5 and I'd have to see a closer pic of the edge connector to tell you where orange and yellow go for sure (you DONT want to get them wrong). Some of those lose wires are speaker, coin door and test buttons. Have you looked at a JAMMA pinout yet?

Yeah, these are all labeled as well. I'll look at my cocktail for reference.

Either harness will work assuming you have wires in all the places you'll need wires for the board you're using. The second harness does look like it has the video connector already wired so that's a plus though you'll probably have to hack off the .156" moles connectors. Either way you're going to have a similar amount of work.

It looks like both harnesses are labeled but here's the JAMMA pinout:

EDIT:
Yellow = +12VDC
White = -5VDC
Double check the label on the edge connector.

you may want to post in the monitor forum and check with modessitt or kenlayton. they can give you a definite answer, as i'm not familiar with that chassis.

Also are you using an Isolation Transformer? Its a big power brick that goes between wall power and the monitor to filter it clean. Some monitors require it, some don't, but you can kill a monitor by not using one but having one installed can't hurt. I'm not sure on your chassis for the wiring, I don't have a Kortek in any of my machines...
