I need help with this pin. For some reason the ball is not ejecting at the start of the game. It was working just fine and now it isn't. All of the switches look fine but I just don't know what to look at. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Some times if I shake the machine or hit the plunger hard the ball will pop out. No idea where to look.

Thanks!

If shaking it works then ensure the wires to the ball trough switches are intact. It stands to reason the trough switches periodically need adjusting and/or replaced.

Start a game. Assuming the ball won't kick out then simply open the coin door, to your left you'll see a big white plastic "button" sticking out. Press that in with your left hand and use your right hand to either move the balls up and down or the associated trough switches. You'll find the culprit when the game kicks a ball out into the shooter lane. Adjust that switch. If it seems you can't get it to consistently work, then the trough switch or switches need to be replaced .

However,
I'm not sure about Maverick, but I did find issues on my LAH ejection mech. There's a diode that runs to the ejection mech and the wire had come loose and was floating causing an inconcistent connection. Look at that as well. You'll need to prop up the playfield and IIRC it had shrink tubing around it. Cut the shrink tube to expose to examne. It is located on the very end of the ball trough (plunger side). The diode could be bad as well but very doubtful.
