Try reseating the cables but I fear you have broken traces/wires on the DMD.
You'll need to visually examine the DMD and I would suspect you'll find a trace or two broken. If so you can use either solder or electrical conductive epoxy to build a trace.
Thanks for the good advice. It is the traces going to the glass. Since the ribbon cable is connected on the side and on the top it is very hard to get to without screwing it up even more. Is there an easier way to fix these?
Lift the entire display panel out. The ground cables are long enough to lay it down on it's face on the play field glass. May try replacing the ribbon cable, but more likely it's a broken feed into the dmd itself.. Good luck
I was able to apply pressure to the ribbon cable and board by wedging pieces of plastic between the board and the glass. The display is now 100% operational. Its not the best repair technique but it worked and it beats replacing a $450 display.
