hey guys got one of these classics out of an atari cab. the reading on the yoke are 3.5 Vertical and 103 Horizaonal. that sounds very high, can anyone verifry that is correct so I dont waste my time troubleshooting the chassis.

i worked on one of those for weeks. Spent a bunch of money on parts and never did get it working correctly. The first piece i got as advice when i asked a question about my TM202G was to throw it away and get another monitor. I wish i had taken their advice.

yea i already put a k-7000 in the cab, but would like to try to get it working never the less.

come on, there has to be one mau"shit"ua out there someone can give a yoke reading off of so I can compare.

I have a non-working one of these I've thought about repairing to use. What makes them SO bad? Poor design I'd guess? Would a cap kit, flyback, and solder joint go over not fix most issues?

red/blue 1.7ohm
green/yellow 98.8ohm

the yoke is from a monitor that i got in a lot with two complete chassis and tubes so i never powered them on to see if they worked.

if you want both chassis and yokes and rings you can have them for parts.

20+ shipping for all of it.

Peace

Not sure what everybody complains about with them tbh. I've had a couple of them over the years and besides the basics you listed, I've just had to fix a few lifted/broken traces. :dunno:

They have a really nice picture and usually don't have much screen burn for whatever reason.

I think my dead one has little screen burn. I'm wanting to fix it to put in a Crystal Castles, since I think that was actually a factory option in that particular game. Bob has the flybacks pretty cheap.

thanks for those readings, my yoke is good so I can move on with the repair, might take you up on that offer for the chassis, any idea how much shipping would be?

The can't burn a screen when they never work LOL.

They are just retrofitted TVs - TVs that were designed for consumer use thrown into the commercial world. They are a nightmare to adjust settings on. Much prefer the old standards..
