Anyone have suggestions on where to purchase the two vertical output transistors for this model(found at q542 and q451 on the schematic)? Or does someone here have a few extras lying around?

I realize these monitors are garbage, but the tube has zero burn-in and monitors are in limited supply in these parts, so I'd like to get it going if possible.

Thanks in advance,
Phil :)

what the # listed directly on the tranistors?
are you sure you just didnt throw the service switch on the chassis or its corroded?
they are not garbage.. they have some of the cleanest pictures when the tube is rejuived.

I say that about them being garbage b/c after searching through other threads on the topic of matushitas with pics of flame throwers, I assume everyone here thinks they are crap.

service switch on the chassis would mimic vertical collapse?

Manual shows these to be:
Type-2SC1683LB

Anyone have a source for replacement?

Just discovered these are no longer available, but are now cross reffed with NTE375.
Placed an order....Hopefully this fixes my issue :)

Considering the last post from that member was seven years ago (2013), I'm gonna guess he isn't around anymore.

You want to start by looking at basic stuff. Start with a cap kit and reflow of any joints that look heat-aged or cracked. (And ideally start by washing the boards, then visually inspecting them for anything else that looks aged/browned/etc, before you do anything else.)

I echo all of this.
