Hi - I have a chance to buy a Marvel vs Capcom (may be streetfighter vs xmen?) cab in good shape, working for $250. It has the 2 player controls with 6 buttons and larger monitor.

Is this a good price?

Thanks!
Chris

i think its a good price if you like the game, it gets alot of play on my MAME cab when people are over, personally it is my favorite fighting game.

The working CPS2 board is worth at least $50-130 depending on factors of battery change, phoenix, and territory.

After that it's all about cab condition and what it's actually in. HS1, HS5, Z-cab etc....

Thanks, I went for it!

Looks to be a dynamo cabinet with 25" monitor - owner added another game board.
Worked when he turned it on, did not when I got it home.
Will be working on it today....

Ah, that's rough, man.... Let us know what you find out.

I see your'e new here - are you familiar with CPS2 games "suiciding?" That is, unfortunately, a common issue with these games. If the game has suicided, though, it can be revived.... if you need more info on that, I'm sure I or someone else here would be more than happy to assist.

Check all the connectors. Sounds like he connector to the game board might have come loose.

Any idea when the battery on the game board was last changed? If it dies the game will commit suicide and reviving the game is not as easy as putting in a new battery.

Both are the same add.....
I got it working.
Changed the power cord, cleaned all the connectors, etc.

Looks good - except the top of the monitor image is a little distorted.

In the process of comparing monitors - I messed up my Tekken monitor.

Any ideas how to trouble shoot? Was showing one line across screen, now nothing.

Thanks,
Chris
