Anyone know who this guy is in Minneapolis? Just curious, he seems to have a lot of stuff for sale on a regular basis. If you're Marty... hello

Marty will take you on a trip back to the 80's within the first minute of entering his lair and it will probably be the last time you visit.

Do you like the smell of cigarettes and un-laundered jockstraps? Then you'll like Marty. Do you like your rats big as pigs? Then you'll like Marty. Do you like fearing for your life whilst strapped to an old barber shop chair in a darkened room with no heat? Then you'll love Marty.

I don't get any of the references.

I'm getting a mental image of Buffalo Bill's "lair" in Silence of the Lambs, though.

Short answer here is that everybody should experience Marty once just to say you did but the guy and his establishment are scarry, gross(mildly put) and smelly. there are no deals with Marty, he's a bottom feeder and everything he owns reflects it.

You gentlemen are very harsh. I have met Marty and I will confess he is an interesting individual. For those of you in other areas of the country or world, in Minnesota that does not make him very unusual. There are many "interesting" people here.

Complete the following adages I am sure your loving parents must have tried to teach you...

"It takes all kinds..."
"To each his own..."
"Treat others as you would..."
"People who live in glass..."
"You can't judge a book..."
"Judge not, lest you..."

... and my personal favorite: "If you surrender to the wind, you can ride it."

I talked to him on the phone last week. Seemed normal and the prices were OK. He was eager to sell and willing to talk. More than I can say for many people I've talked to in the trade.

Marty = loser

I bought a Spy Hunter upright this weekend. I settled the deal one the first call and arranged for pickup. Somehow MARTY, got the guys phone number and called him about the machine. The owner informed him that it was SOLD. Marty kept calling him for several days to harass the owner and offered to buy it for more before I picked it up. WTF!

Luckily the owner was a very honest and polite fellow.
