HI. Does anyone know how to disable acceptance on a standard AE2000 series validator via the 9-pin harness? There are pinouts for "neutral inhibit" "Neutral enable" "Hot enable". The manual doesn't give information on how these are used. Just need to know how I can tell the DBV to not accept bills until enabled to. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Depends on the model, but the AE2600 series go like this:

Pin 10 is ground, pin 7 is credit signal.

You tie pins 13,14,15 to high pin 25.

You then tie pins 27, 28 and 29 together. Grounding
them will enable acceptance of all bills. Leave them
floating will disable acceptance.

I think the AE2400's work this way as well but I don't have
a diagram nearby.

I've never utilized the neutral enable/inhibit pins and
frankly never have seen them used. It's high voltage
and not documented as you mentioned.
