Hi all. I want to change out the Marquee lighting in my Crystal castles - its very dim. Please excuse my dumb questions, i dont want to mess this up. Following the advice on this board, i have an 18' flourescent light fixture. I took that apart.
So now, i have two "ends" (white, where the tube plugs into), one side has white wire and black wire, the other "end" has two black wires. In the middle, is a black rubber piece with what seems to be a light bulb, and two black wires run through what looks like a battery pack.
The crystal castles Marquee mounting has two ends, black wires only wired up to the ends. The white and green wires from the cab are mounted in a clip, dont seem to be used. There is also a Capacitor of some sort (which i think equals the black light bulb thing on the new fixture) and a Larger battery pack mounted to the left side of the frame.
Of course i will clip the three wires, take everything off the frame, mount in the new one.
And now for the big question - how to wire that up? What puzzles me is the white wire is not in use - i would think i would attach white to one end, black to the other, green to frame?
Thanks for any help.
