My marquee light went out (hopefully just the fluorescent bulb). Is that a bulb I can buy at like home depot or what will I need to do?

thanks

You could try another bulb, but it could be a defective starter or ballast. While you are at home depot buy a bulb and starter. If those don't work, then it most likely your ballast. I hope this helps.

Not so fast...

No, it's the same bulb & starter as the rest of the Nintendo cabs in the DK style family.

Just like EVERYTHING on these Nintendo cabs nothing is easy or cheap to find...meaning you will NOT be able to find one at Home Depot or Lowes.
You'll have to order them online from a specialty place.
There are a few but I've gotten mine from topbulb.com

Here's a link to the starter & bulb;

FWIW, I'd replace the starter fist. It's been my experience that they go first most of the time and that the bulbs actually last quite a while.

Good luck.

I usually pull the entire fixture and replace it with a $12 15" fixture from Home Depot. Plugs right into the bottom of the cabinet and gives a more full light and looks much better.

I guess it depends on how old the cab is.

My Single monitor has a normal 18'' bulb and FS-2 starter that I replaced with stuff from Home Depot. It was built in '90.

this. and worst case scenario is the fixture takes .00005 seconds longer to turn on cause you're running it off 100V. :p

I replaced every fixture in my 4 Nintendo cabs with ones I got from Happ. best move I made with them, minus replacing T-molding.

however the fixtures I had, I had to wirenut together, they didn't come with cords.
