Mark Darts 4500 ROM (2732)

I'm still looking for the code for this Mark Darts 4500 game. I also need to correct the type or ROM it uses, it's a 2764.

Did you ever find the ROM image for this game? Anyone have one? I have to fix one of these and would like to find a known good image to compare with. Or get the latest version if there are code fixes.

He got one of them for me a long time ago. Give me your email, and I will send it to you. I can not get a .bin file to upload here.

It looks like I have version 1.1 code in my game. I received an image that may be version 1.5 which should be newer. Does anyone happen to have a later version that that? It would be cool to find any tech bulletins that mention what was fixed in each version. Maybe those documents are hidden in an operators old files.

My son helped me pull out the MPU and power supply. I was pleasantly surprised to see all socketed chips. My game worked but every once in a while seemed to lock and crash. Noticed that the screws weren't tight holding the power board to main filter cap and I think that would explain it. Going to address that and check and replace any other questionable caps.

Hope that takes care of the issue since since my kids really seem to like the game.

I tried the newer code in my game but it just hung. It's possible there are different versions of the board and need specific ROM versions.

I just tested the .bin file that you sent me. It works fine in my machine. Change out the IDC connector on the power supply. Mine was giving me intermittent problems. The board has 4 6821's. Change positions of them and note any changes. It will take some time, but you have the proper program.

I had rebuilt the power supply before reinstalling the board. When I put the original ROM back in played solid.

I'll make another fresh ROM and try it again. Maybe there was just an issue with that particular chip.

You were right. For some reason there was an issue programming that new EPROM. I've done a ton over the years without issue. I though it had verified correctly but when I checked again it appeared blank. Made another fresh one on a different chip and all is well running on the latest code. Thanks again for your help. After also going over the power board and connectors game seems solid now and kids are having fun with it.
