Since I cancelled this reprint Ive gotten phone calls and emails about it.

I decided to pass on the project because I thought it would be too difficult to sell 100 sets and make a fair profit. And there seems to be enough people willing to sacrifice quality for a much cheaper price and buy from mamemarquees. Let's face it, there's a lot of cheap asses in here who aren't the hard core collectors they make themselves out to be. Inkjet is for them.

I'm considering a small 50 set run, but would require 15 preorders @ $135 plus shipping to make it happen.

I said there were 15 screens when in fact there are 17!

Are there 15 people in here who would step up if I decided to go this route?

Email me at [email protected] and I will build a list. If we get 15 on the list then I would start asking for prepaids within a 30 day window. If we didnt get 15 all monies would be refunded in full through paypal.

So you have to be willing to spend seventy-eleven dollars on reproduction artwork to be classified as "hard core"?

Heh... I thought just having a few games that you give the attention of a small child to was enough to be classified as "hard core"... :(

Here are the colors in case someone wanted to know: red, yellow, light purple (fly wings), dark purple (overalls), pink, teal (turtle), magenta, green (turtle), green (overalls), light blue, purple, lime green, light brown, dark brown, brick red, blue and black.

No halftones because we couldnt get a close enough match.

Hey Darin,
I would be totally interested but not at that price. There's another arcade supply site (I won't mention their name in your thread) that sells screen printed Mario Bros sideart for $95. With a rep for good quality stuff. If you could somehow bring your price down I'm sure you'll have interest.
Good luck,
ERIC

They (AS) have been sold out since last year from an old previous run and said he wont run them again and if he ever did he certainly couldnt make 50 sets at todays costs and make a profit I assure you of that. We use the same printing company. He doesnt get any better pricing than I do. I print more projects than he does and get no special pricing.

But if you can really get sets for $95 then I wont get 15 people to sign up and it takes care of you guys and I wont have to risk anything.

C'mon people. Please keep all the hate to yourselves. This is just a case of how a few can ruin it for many. Don't like it.... move on!

That is all.

Hey Darin,
I hope it didn't come off like I was trying to be a jerk because I wasn't.
If it came off that way, let me apoligize.
No disrespect to you or your work.
I will actually need a set sooner than later so.
If there's people here who are interested than by all means and in fact I may too be interested if what you say about the other dealer is correct. I was simply asking the question and letting YOU know about the other source in case you didn't already.

Thanks, ERIC

No offense taken. If AS had them then people wouldn't keep asking me and I wouldn't need to spend any time or money on this.

Just trying to see if there's 15 people who want to get a set. Im building a list so if anyone wants a set please email me.

Thanks.

Darin - how many are you up to? I'm on the fence - my decision is based on whether I want to replace mine or not (not yours vs. someone elses).

Anyway, if it was close....but it looks like only a few have stepped up...

I only have 2 people who emailed me to be on the list. Not looking good.

Mario bros side art is Nintendos best Artistic effort IMHO. Man, all those years of just taking for granted that it would always be available in screened form to be purchased. Cinderella screamed it best.

That's definitely true. I never thought it would go out of stock and I didn't buy and I regret it. I can't afford $135 plus shipping otherwise I would be interested.

I'm planning on ripping my MB side-art from my cab......going to bring me to tears, but I decided to turn my RS/MB red cab into DK.

It's going to be hell as the side-art is still like new....
The worst is that it has a different color setting than all the other MB repro's I've seen. The turtle is blue f.i..

Is this going? how many sets are you up to.
I need a set.

Darrin, I have a good old Black & White copy machine and some Prismacolor pencils... I bet I could get it to look good enough. :)

j/k...

Darrin, I think for 17 screens you are well within reason with your price!!! I don't have a Mario Brothers and don't know if I ever will... However, if I did, I wouldn't flinch paying that.

Darin,
Kudos bud for even trying to help out...I usually try to get in on these limited runs even if I don't have the game..but I'm fortunate enough to have an original New old stock set waiting for the right cab to come along to use it on...however if you got close ...say one person away..I'd jump in for set to get it done...
