I received a Mario Bros PCB and was told it works. I plugged it in today and all I got was a white screen. I tested the game in my DK cabinet which is working. So I know the 20EZ is not bad. Any idea? I am missing the filter board. Do I need that? I was under the impression I could plug my harness directly to the game.

A white screen means the monitor is not receiving a video signal from the game board.

Make the video cables are plugged in to the monitor end and at the game board end.

Also test the output voltages from the machine's power supply in the bottom of the cabinet. Maybe you have a bad power supply.

I mentioned, my DK game shows up on the screen. So I don't think the power supply is dead. I will check the voltages on the game.

Hoping the game pcb is not toast.

So, Mario will not work in a known working DK cabinet? Mario will boot in that cabinet, so that is not a good sign. Does the filter board belong to you or did it come as a working system? Just hook up what you purchased and test it that way.

Let me clear up my setup.

I have a DK cabinet using a PP-B7 power supply. My DK cabinet boots up and the game plays.

I received a Mario Bros PCB and harness. To test the game I removed the DK connection to the power supply, audio, and CRT. I then wired up my MB harness. I just wanted to see if the game works. After powering up all I get is a white picture and no audio.. I have not tested voltages on the board yet, but planning on it.

Do the Sanyo and Pretty supply are both working fine.

Was kind of bummed the game didn't start playing. Guessing I have a bad PCB.

Showing all connections. The harness is connected to the power supply, game PCB and Sanyo 20EZ.IMG_20180514_195020273.jpgIMG_20180514_195025511_LL.jpgIMG_20180514_195030176_LL.jpgIMG_20180514_195053058.jpg

So the voltages on the power supply looked good when I plug in my DK. I see the correct voltages on the edge connector. When I plug in the MB, I see no voltages at the edge connector. I had a spare PP-7B, so I tried that with my DK and the MB. Same thing happened. I started looking at the harness and noticed it didn't seem to match the schematic. The 12P-030 and 9P-030 power harnesses look too match Popeye. I'm starting to think I may have the wrong harness. Tomorrow, I plan on comparing the MB and Popeye schematics. I have two Popeyes and the one that came with MB was identical.IMG_20180514_195020273.jpegScreenshot_20180516-003105.jpegScreenshot_20180516-001350.jpeg

Those adapters between your power supply and the harness may be Popeye adapters.
If so, the voltages won't be correct for Mario Bros, Donkey Kong boards.

For some reason, Popeye's original supply used those same black connectors but a different pinout for the different voltages.

I found this out when I bought a Popeye table, attempted to add the 7B power supply.
Following the schematic, I modified a second set of adapters to make it work. Now I can plug in any of the classic edge connector boards (so long as Luigi doesn't mind playing upside down).
