Just got done restoring my cabinet I painted it with home depot semi-gloss and a sponge roller with the correct color orange that i got from the forum. looks great, however when i went to apply the side art it won't stick. I applied it and let it sit and the edges started to peel and it was easy to peel off, one side actually fell off on its own and stuck to itself ruining the piece. The paint does feel kind of slick or could it be bad glue on the art? I was going to try wallpaper paste to see if that would work???

That sounds like the $55.00 eBay sideart. The Phoenix Arcade stuff should be much better, but also costs almost 3 times as much because it's screen printed and has many colors.

That was my assumption. I am also curious how long he let the paint dry too.

dry time and source are definatly the 2 elements here.
when vinyl falls onto its self try heating it a little with a heatgun
to try and seperate.

and even with frsh paint Id still wipe the surface down with alcohol or naptha before applying any art.

gameongrafix the paint was dry for atleast a good week before i tried to put the art on. tried heating it and squeege it onto the cabinet also didnt help.

i guess the question now is no art or spend the money for good art.

did you clean the surface with alcohol before trying to apply the art? I notice a big different when i do that.
