After seeing Jow pick up a Mario Bros. widebody, I just had to be like him. I posted in Jow's thread that I wanted one some day. After I posted that, I got a PM from Matt (mschwartz01) a few minutes later that there was a nice Mario WB about an hour and a half from me, so I gave the guy a call who had it. After a short conversation and a few texts, we agreed on a price and I picked this baby up last night! Here's the crappy pic that I took at 10 PM after I got home:
The guy I picked it up from has been an arcade tech for a local operator for about 20 years. He rebuilt the monitor and capped the sound board- this puppy looks great. Now just a little bit of cosmetic work to be done: new cpo, correct buttons, coin door swap (thanks again Matt!), t-molding and side art.
Both of my boys were playing this morning in their pajamas before I went off to work. This one is a keeper.
