Mario Bros. Nintendo Hum Fixed - Still Getting Noise from the PCB?!
Hey there KLOV
Lots of threads about audio noise in Nintendo cabinets - I really hate to start another thread but...
After reading through all of the threads and doing the mod to my audio board I discovered today that I still have noise coming from the PCB through the speaker.
I would really love to silence this board so I'm hoping someone out there knows how to solve this issue on the board
Check out this video I made - it sounds like I'm getting a sawtooth wave type drone/hum from the Mario Bros. PCB? Has anyone come across this before?
The audio in the first video is straight from the PCB - audio amp is completely removed from the signal chain.
In the second video, the audio amp, when being used to amplify an outside source (not the game board), is totally clean and quiet.
Info:
Sanyo audio amp board has been recapped
Sanyo audio amp has had resistor R383 replaced
I performed the Nintendo hum modification that was up on KLOV - worked great! (moved the remote volume pot back onto the audio amp board)
Very happy with the audio amp now just need to remove noise from the game board
Hoping someone may have seen/heard this before
Thanks in advance
