Hello, wondering what would cause this.
It appears that game screen and high score screen are merging together somehow.

a still screen does not always tell alot. ram is a possibility if you continually get a few types of corruption overlaying the screen or it could be a problem with the rom program have errors in it or maybe damaged address lines going to the ram or from the ram

Thanks for the replies!! This is a pic from a game I'm looking to purchase.
Just wondering what I'm up against before I seal the deal. Appears it needs a cap kit, as well as the board work.

I got the game. :)
I ran seft test, and I'm getting..

7B NG

And cannot step to the next test.

I have a 2 board stack, and neither 7B is a socketed chips on either side.

Tried replacing chip.
Ended up doing more harm than good.
Broke traces along the way, jumped those, and still ended up with worse issues than I started with.

Looking for a replacement board.
If I could find just the CPU PCB, that would be what I need I think.
But willing to buy the 2 board stack. I suppose my confidence levels were too high taking on this job..
