To piggy back off of the other thread about removing old CPOs...
I got my Kawasaki Heat Gun in the mail yesterday from Amazon and was dying to try it on my Mario Bros. control panel.
The reviews don't lie. I set it on high and used the scraper tool and the overlay just scraped off like butter. I'm still going to need to use Goo-Gone or Brake Cleaner for some of the adhesive residue, but it gets all of the overlay off. I even tested it on my SFII CPO and it made the top layer crumble off and the overlay just peeled off. I also started to remove some of the old vinyl off of SFII and it was so easy. If I choose to apply new vinyl, this will be the perfect tool to do that as well.
I'm definitely going to save myself hours of time of scraping and peeling with razor blades and my fingers. I love that it comes with the scraper tool and attachments. It makes it a very versatile product. Highly recommended.
UPDATE: I finally finished this, but never posted it. Here are pictures of it primed and ready for the new CPO. It's been done for months but I've never taken a finished pic. I'll try to post one eventually.
