Ok... so I have a few Atari games that utilize the "cone" LED start lamps... I have: Battlezone, Black Widow, Star Wars, Asteroids Deluxe, Tempest, then Marble Madness. Each one of them on FREEPLAY.

Every game up to Marble Madness has BLINKING LED P1 and P2 (or in the case of Battlezone just P1) LED buttons until you push the button and then the P1 or P2 lamp stays solid.

Now I get to my Marble Madness. The LED lamps stay OFF... but when you push the button it goes solid as normal.

Is it supposed to blink? I seem to recall Indiana Jones' lamps blinking... but I am not 100% certain.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it was standard that all the cone buttons blinked? At least until the little led bulb gave out.

Hmmm.... the L.E.D. isn't out (it goes red when I select a button)... it has to be something to do with the L.E.D. driver.

The exact same thing happened with my Marble Madness. I haven't been motivated enough to try to figure it out. But yeah, they're supposed to blink on free play. Mine did for quite a while, and now they don't. *shrug*

This is the kind of useless tiny BS that bugs me for some reason...

:)

...and no coin door lamps (when they're supposed to have `em)...

Anyone look into this? I just installed a MM kit into my Road Blaster cabinet and have the same issue. If I take it out of freeplay and add credits both lamps flash, P1 with first coin both with second. I put it back into freeplay and no lights flash.

Seems odd, it can't be the driver as it's working with coins. seems like a software glitch or something of the sort.

I thought Indy just had the orange Whip buttons that doubled as 1P/2P starts.

Oh and I agree on coinslot lamps. I'll run new wiring and sockets if they've been yanked out. I even need all the inserts, ejector buttons, mechs, etc to be perfect. Yet I can tolerate plenty of "battle wounds" on the cabinet itself. Adds character, I say!
