So I recently acquired a Marble Madness a few weeks ago. All was working fine until yesterday when I opened up the control panel to inspect the trackball rollers and bearings. After putting everything back together I fired up a 2 player game and then after a few seconds of play, everything went haywire and suddenly I got a screen that said "WORKING RAM ERROR".

I tried re-connecting everything, making sure no legs were bent out of sockets or anything, but now all I get is that ram error message, along with a kind of pulsing buzz on the screen, which pulses along with a red light on the motherboard.

Anyone else experienced this? Is there anyone here who repairs MM boards?

Could be your Power Supply. Start by checking the Voltages from the Power Supply.

Before checking the power supply..

Check the connectors from the power supply to the board 1st.

Nothing worse then upping the voltage in the power supply and than the oxidation resistance between the connectors get scraped off. Too much voltage on a PCB board is not a good thing to do for the long haul.

Just something simple to check before adjusting.

Alright so I had my first chance to get back to the marble madness today. I turn it on and...it's back to working all of a sudden. Now it does what it's always done since I got it: you turn on the power and get a garbled screen, then it sits for a few minutes and eventually resets to normal. I checked the voltage and got 4.95v on the mother board, and 4.97 volts on the marble madness board
