Wasn't a game that I was really looking for. However, close to home, I'd say cabinet about a 9 out of 10. He's asking 500 for it. I'd like to do alot better than that. Tell me what you think. Thx

Thx guys. It wasn't a must have for me. He came down to 400 and I came up from 300 to 350. I'm learning to be careful with what I spend so that if I have to resell down the road I can just about make my money back. On closer inspection the glass was pretty scratched and the back door was broken by the lock as if someone tried to pry it open. Maybe next time. thx again

When he calls you back, say you looked into the game a little more and think that now you only have $250 to spend on it. That guy will call you back because there aren't a lot of people who want to play mappy without the 57 other games that go with it.

Agreed. A fun game but it doesn't get much love, so it doesn't resell for much. $300 was a decent offer, I think, not $500.

Pete

MTTPC, that's funny you said that. Because I said the same thing to the seller about the 60in1 boards that have flooded the market. And there wouldn't be alot of Mappy interest here in Vegas. I agree Pete...I was comfortable with offering the 300. We'll see what happens.

Thx Pete. He raised the price for CL and I did notice the scratch. However, I did not see the graphics glitch. I did find out later the back door is slightly damaged also. We never did reach a price.

I like Mappy and I happily paid twice that for mine. Its a nice cab, with good art and a non faded marquee. I wouldn't trade it for two Galagas.

You don't need a Galaga when you have a Mappy. You just drop the Galaga board in your Mappy and play some Galaga, then swap it back. You always swap it back of course because Mappy is a far superior game! :D

On the other hand basing your buying price on what you can sell it for is asinine and has nothing to do with collecting and enjoying classic arcade games IMO. :001_stongue:
