Anyone have one? A manual that is for a Jen Shinn Model 220. A 220LH if it matters.

Here is a pic (Linked from another guy's site)
Chassis Pic

I picked up a monitor from a guy for $5. NICE flat face Phillips tube with this chassis on it. I was told it gets high voltage but no pic. I have not powered it up yet as I don't like what I see so I want to figure out what is up. First the signal processing IC has been swapped out. Unsoldered, socketed, then a different chip. I was given the original. I also noticed that the yellow wire in the bundle from the chassis to the neck had been modified. The pin is labeled "H" in the chassis. The mod is that an extension wire has been spliced in and wrapped around the flyback. It seems that I have read someplace that this is a trick to get the heater to light if there is a problem with that circuit on the chassis. I am going to guess the "H" and this "mod" makes that the heater wire??? I also see to possible places, side by side, where the yoke plug can go. P401 and P402. Not sure which I use and why. Hopefully the manual can shed some light on what I have.

thanks guys!!

Already been to both. No help on a manual. Actually the www.jenshinn.com.tw seems to never come back. I had to hit it via IP address that was listed in the original post google pulled back for me. Unless I totally missed it neither sire had an actual manual.

The Jen Shinn site only seems to work sporadically and sometimres is very slow.

Have you emailed both the sites I mentioned?

Actually, no. I thought of that this morning. Not one of my finer "thinking" moments last night...I blame the head cold and the drugs... Man they are killing me. Will do!!

Well, no love. No one seems to respond from the e-mail address on the Jenn Shinn site. 8Liners sent me a link to the page that tells you how to ohm out the yoke?????? When I replied and again, kindly, asked them for a manual they stopped responding.

Someone out there has to have something. With all Jen Shinn chassis folks on the board alone have used over the years someone has to have a manual, schematic, some test info...something. I think I would even take a stick drawing on a cocktail napkin detailing the connectors.

I don't know of anyone with a schematic. If the factory or 8liners don't give you one then you're stuck.

You might try Jen Shinn's parent company Robinsun Enterprise Co. Ltd. which you can access at http://59.125.236.229/

Well darn. I was hoping that something came with them, like if you bought them from 8liners or another source. Then again, the controls are rather straight forward so I guess I can see how a document could be "skipped".

Let me ask at least this of anyone that has one..or may know (ken??). When header should I used for the yoke plug? There are 2..P401 and P402. I have no idea what was done to the chassis in total. Due to the changes I can see I am banking that any combo of things have been tried. I can see poking around trying to get it going only to be using the wrong header which might mean it would never "work". I sort of want to level set the setup before I troubleshoot it.

Beyong that the only other things I recall that could be moved around plug wise was the pin for the rough width adjustment. No big deal there, pretty self explanatory.

Updating this old thread.

The wayback machine still has Jen Shinn's website saved:
