Manitou Springs has something more than dirty hippies in it? Unpossible! =)
Ive bought a few games from the place (recently). They are trying to sell the place off.

Is this the place that is like a out door mall of arcades?
Damn! My partner Glenn and I are co chairs with Walter Day on the Historic Video game arcade registry of golden age arcades. Glenn and I were hoping to induct that arcade this year. It's a shame, the place looks amazing! It's getting so hard to find true golden age coin op arcades.

Star Worlds Arcade
Just for the record there is no evidence of any active sell off. No visible holes, buildings packed, no for sale signs. Good original prices and no begging for donations either ( hint hint)
I don't get to see Manitou as much as I would like due to my odd schedule. I haven't been there in a couple months because of it.
Good original prices? Like price tags on the games?
I'm not saying they should "beg" for donations, but Manitou deserves the recognition of being a museum or something similar. FunSpot deserved it, the Seattle Pinball Museum is properly a museum, the Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas, PAPA in Pittsburgh (if they aren't, they should be!) and I believe there are other museums on the east coast for arcade games, etc.
An arcade that has paid its dues should not have to close, especially if it is as influential and legendary as Manitou. In my opinion, the Manitou Springs Penny Arcade should be recognized by the state as a coin-op and amusement historic museum of sorts. I cannot stress that enough![/QUOTE)
Like a dime game is a dime, a quarter a quarter. That was just a poke at another thread as far as the donations.
