Remember that $200 Xenon on CL?....Well....

Apparently the guys mom said up the price being there was such a large response but never e-mailed anybody. For shits and giggles I shot one more e-mail to him with not much hope and then he calls me to come get it for $250...and here it is

Nice score! Congrats!!

Thanx, it still only comes up in attract mode...thinking the reg board needs some brige rec's but the MPU was repaired before so that's a maybe too. After working on the Flash Gordon till 2am last night I'm all pinballed out!!:004_ssleepy:

Nice score Rob, that is a really sweet pin and it looks to be in great shape.

Great deal, looks to me in OK shape, not great.
Sorry, check out the playfield closeup.

But with all of the $$$ you saved, maybe you can buy a new playfield.

Man..... no freakin way... if you wanna bring that over with you tomorrow, I will gladly take it off your hands.

Yes we hate you :) but would like you much more if you finished your gameroom so we could all enjoy your great deals,

Yeah I know, I really need to get that going before winter hits again! Yes I'm looking forward to hosting some arcade bashes for you guys and sharing the wealth. :)

I need to start fix'in shit and stop buying stuff!! And I'm sure you all say the same thing too! :p

I'm an artist so I should be able to touch it up, kinda weird it has a blue surface under the paint instead of wood. Also Pinball Magic sells a full size scan of the playfield for $30 so I could also make my own stickers.

nice pickup. SOmeday i gotta have one. The local skating rink has one when i was a kid and i played that thing all the time while waiting for my sister to be done with ice skating practice.

$250 sounds about right for a non-working solid-state pinball machine from 1980.

Probably needs that multi-board that was created for just these pieces of crap SS machines.

Here's some info on the Xenon Project.

Nice looking machine though, especially after you get it shopped out.

What's it worth, shopped out and working...$1000? $1200? I think you got a good deal.

Great deal, although I'd say that was worth a little more than $250. Probably could get double for that, being a Xenon, even non-working.

CPR did a run of playfields a year or so ago, but it sounds like touching it up and clearcoating it might be the way to go.

The machine is almost working, I'm getting some weird voltages from the reg board so later this week I'm going to swap that out with another pin and see what happens. I'm also suspecting the solenoid PCB being in test mode I'm getting nothing from all the coils which would cause the machine to not start. I thought maybe the MPU was acting up but it boots up with 7 flashes so it might be ok.

$250?? What a steal! Jeebus Cripes - saying it's worth $250 is absurd. You can sell the parts out of the head for that alone.

Do yourself "and machine" a favor and tear that top side down and order yourself this kit.

That playfield has been neglected and appears to have a crapload of ground in elements.
