I've been trying to think of creative names for my basement arcade. It's not really done to my liking yet so I am hesitant to give it a name.
I have the basement... and we have a sun room upstairs that my wife has claimed. It's been referred to as the quiet room... and mine the loud room.
We've referred to the basement as "The Topknob" because the basement door is super old and has a newer doorknob installed a few inches above the older 30's style knob. We often have to yell at people from the other room trying to go down there "It's the Top Knob"... it just kinda stuck.
We actually usually just say "The Basement", "Arcade", or "Barcade"

This is pretty much us as well but add "The Basement". I never felt a need to name it since I haven't titled any other parts of the house. "WELCOME TO CARRIE'S COOL CITCHEN", "YE OLDE TOILET ROOME", or "PARKER'S SLEEP QUARTERS" don't really seem necessary to me so why name the game room?

I'm still a couple years away from having a "real" gameroom that includes blacklight carpet, lighting, decorations, AC and upgraded electrical to handle the load... But when the day finally arrives that we buy a house and I'm given the green light, then I'll probably get a neon sign reading "House of Pain"

heh thanks man.. Unfortunately this is a case of horse leading the wagon... I got into this crazy hobby before buying a house... Kinda like buying a porsche without having a garage to park it in... that's me in a nutshell (minus the porsche, lol). We're getting close to buying, but we'd have a much bigger down payment (prolly 20%) if I had never found the drug called KLOV! Oh and I've ditched the "house of pain" idea for now... it sounded kinda cool on a forum, but when I mentioned it to the guests I had over this weekend, I sounded like an uber dork!
