Which one would yield better results? Looking to get Super Off Road sideart and CPO printed up since there isn't enough interest in a screen print run.

Anyone have experience with both?

I'd go with Rich at this Old Game in a heartbeat. Scott does pretty good work as well, but Rich is a KLOVer, does great work and has a huge love for this hobby. I've bought and used a ton of Rich's artwork and it has always been great quality.

I'm a huge mamemarquees.com fan... I've used Scott many many times and have always been happy with the product... but Phet makes a good point. Rich is a KLOVian and supports our hobby tremendously. He also produces top-quality items, both printed an screened. I've only seen one of his printed products (Spy Hunter side art) and it's very high quality.

So I'd have to give the nod to Rich...

+1 for Rich... also, he only uses Inkjet when it's absolutely necessary... as opposed to a lot of folks who use inkjet only because it's cheap or because they can't or don't know how to screen print. (e.g., practically all the other inkjet producers including Mame Marquees).

And Rikitiki is always the one to almost shamefully offer "solvent inkjet". It's actually comical to me since he's such a inkjet Nazi. My vote goes to support my local brethren TOG. Otherwise Arcadeoverlays.

I have bought from Scott at MM and the work was great. Bought a Mario Bros side art and was very pleased.

I've also talked to both Jow and Phet about other projects and they swear by using Rich. Seems to go along with the other postings.

For one-off's it's a bit insane to do silk-screening right ?

Yes, of course. What I'm referring to is all the inkjet folks/companies that do inkjet prints for gobs of artwork that is readily available in screenprint format already... There's just no sense in that and the inkjet versions look like crap in comparison. Yet you see people on this forum buying inkjet versions of bezels, marquees, sideart when there are quality versions available.

Properly done inkjet looks just as nice as screened...

...but it's doubtful it will last as long.

By "properly done" you must mean without the ink... aka screenprinting. ;)

I have never seen an inkjet sideart or bezel that looked anywhere NEAR as nice as screenprinted, the difference is obvious and remarkable. Maybe there's an exception somewhere, but I sure haven't seen it yet. CPO's maybe?

That's what i mean. I am curious what the price would be for someone to scan and produce some Warrior art, maybe the cp overlay too.

A full sized scan would run you somewhere in the $100 range for something that size
not sure if its a flipped shaped image so you may have to have both sides scanned in some cases. (Journey, Mappy, Etc.) since the text would be backwrds when flipped.

the touchup raster or vecotring costs will vary depending on who does it
a typical graphics place will charge by the hour generally $25-$75
some collectors/hobbyists like Jeff/Rotheblog.com might charge a flat rate
depends how bad it is and what kinda work it needs

then thers color matching.
from there its pretty simple a one off inkjet set typically would range $75-100

So bottom line just about any piece needs almost $500 up front just to get the ball going
those costs hopefully are recouped in the other sets that may sell.

TOG's Spy Hunter side art looks simply awesome... though I am not certain the original was screened anyway??

I've seen a few inkjet CPO's that look incredible as well. I supposed marquees don't really count.
