I picked up an Arachnid Super 6 dart machine sometime in 2007. Been in my game room ever since. It was wired with a credit button, and that's the only way I've ever used it.

So just today, and I can't imagine what possessed me to do it, but I reached out and pushed the coin reject button as I was walking past the game. I figure its the 4-yr old in all of us, see a button, gotta push it... Then I heard a clunk as something fell into the coin reject. What the heck?? I pull out this token that has been jammed in the coin mech since before I got the game. LOL!

It's a custom MAME .984 token. I've never seen this before. Anyone have any idea where these came from? I'd guess it was likely a BYOAC thing or something? Did a quick image search, but I didn't come up with anything. Maybe whoever had them made is on KLOV? It has www.mame.net on it, did perhaps the MAMEDEV team have them made and sell them?

Man, I haven't thought about those in a long time. They were an annual custom project for a while, I think starting in 2004. I have a sandwich bag of brass 2004 tokens, a sandwich bag of brass 2005 tokens, 2 rolls of brass 2006 tokens, and a sandwich bag of tokens I can't identify... yet.

Why did I buy so much? younger me thought it would be cool to use tokens. I'll get around to it eventually.........

I have also thought about mounting all my tokens in a frame (even the ones from the rat.)

Golden ticket like Last Acton Hero?? Haven't seen Ready Player One...
Its a fun read. Audio book is nice too if yiou have a commute.

I also liked the movie, but they cut some of the arcade stuff as wide audiences wouldn't know Joust. Read and then watch and you might like both.
