I picked up a Hanaho MAME game at a garage sale today....it works great with one problem. When I play games the left joystick wants to start a menu when I hit the left direction. Meaning when I play Robotron it will come up with a menu adjusting things like volume and such. Is there some kind of setting out of sinc? Thanks

The TAB key brings up the button binding settings for MAME.
Just use it to reassign the device keys to joystick 2 up, down, left, right.

Thanks...but when do I try the TAB key...I pushed it and it did nothing. Will try some more...

You can reset everything to the defaults by deleting the default.cfg file from your MAME folder. It should be in a subfolder named /cfg.

MAME will generate a new one with restored defaults when you restart it.

If that still doesn't work, delete the controls.ini file, then run mame -cc to create a new default version of that.
