how long does it usually take for an order from mame marquees to ship? i ordered a frogger CPO and marquee monday and havent received shipping notification yet. i guess he probably makes these to order?

most everything is made to order. his communication is not the best but I have never had to wait more than a week for an order. I have ordered from him a few times. If I don't hear from him, I assume there was nothing wrong with my order...

recommend him 110%

I don't recall my stuff from them taking much longer than a week.

However I would have ordered those particular items from arcade shop. They've always shipped the same day and been here in 2 days. Always great service from them.

I have made a few orders from them. Their stuff is pretty good quality, they do ship rather slow. (keep in mind i am in Canada)

I don't know what happened to Mame Marquees. I emailed him about a custom thing two or three months ago and never heard anything back. Email was always slow, but now it's non existant. So I started using arcade overlays.

I just ordered 2 marquees from them last week, and I got a notification that my order was processing, then another when the order shipped (about 3 days later). These were standard sized (or NOS) marquee sizes, one was the "ultimate" variety.

Also, about a month ago I ordered a custom size marquee for a Z-cab and that took a little longer (a few days), but that was to be expected. The marquee I received (also an "ultimate") was absolutely top notch quality also.

Now I did upload a graphic to them about a week ago and I never heard anything back on that yet, I was going to wait a week and re-contact.

Overall for me, I must say that I've had nothing but good experiences with them up to date.

Scott responds to my emails usually within 24 hours. If you don't get a response from him within 48 hours, you should re-send your email... it may have gotten stuck in a filter somewhere.

Can you let me know how the Frogger CPO looks when you get it? I'm thinking about ordering it from there, but would like a testimonial about it before I decide to buy it.

Scott is an awesome guy and always came trough for me, my cabs are smaller and the sizes all differ from normal cabs but he made the best stuff I seen, love his custom design.
Shipping was also speedy to Europe.
What I do know is that he doesn't spent to much time on the email, just about what is needed and no more.
He once replied to me:We are very good printers but not so good at answering emails :)
After that I learned not worry, your stuff will arrive withinn time and he get's it right.
It's the "don't talk but do" metality and I like it.

well, i waited just over a week with no word, finally emailed tonight and got a prompt response, "looks like this one slipped past us" and that they will make it a "high priority to get this out ASAP".

a little irritated i payed for express shipping, but i do appreciate the prompt response. i will post when the products arrive.

Agree the express shipping option exists for that reason, so you should get that back quickly. I have had great stuff come from them bezels, CPOs that are really nice, and I will do business there again///

Ok can some of your experienced collectors school a newb for a second on this subject. When restoring an arcade machine is it better to use the original marquee, side art, CPO, ect whenever possible, or buy new stuff for the cab?

Basically what I want to know is does repros hurt or help the overall value of the arcade machine. I'm a little confused on this cause my dad wanted me to keep the original stickers on the machine from 1983 that show its a licensed machine in the state of texas for vending purposes, but on here I see a lot of people buying and restoring arcade machines that have repro art. I am currently sanding down the original cabinet to the asteroids machine I bought because some of the art was gone on the side, and the overall cabinet was lookin pretty bad. So I know I have to buy side art, but the marquee is in good shap(except a few scratches), should I keep it or buy a brand new marquee reproed?

And on the value thing, I just wanted to know, Im not restoring it to sell because I really love arcade machines and I think I will start collecting as money permits me to lol
