Hi all

I have an arcade cabinet that I am thinking of selling and wondered if there was even a market for it at all. I had taken a Mortal Kombat II cabinet that was pretty trashed and have completely restored it for a more MAME application. At present, it has an Ultimarc J-PAC card in it, outfitted with the Playsation 2 adaptor and counsel. Works great for the Atari and Intellevision game disks I have, and can also be adapted to use a computer for MAME. The cabinet has been completely repainted (inside and out), with new full side art and marquee. The cabinet has also been slimed down a bit to more normal size, as the MK2 cabs were monsters size wise. New Jamma harness, speakers and amplifier installed, along with a new control panel (8 buttons per player, 2 joysticks). Coin door is fully operational. Monitor is in good shape, with little to no burn in that i can see (horizontal). Overall, looks great.

Before I go further here, is there any market for something like this?

Thanks

I'd possibly be interested, depending on what needs to be done to convert it to use with a PC or modded Xbox. Pictures would help increase interest. Looking for trades?

I would maybe be interested in the cabinet and monitor if its a tri-sync. I won't build a MAME without one and I hate to waste a perfectly good monitor.

MAME / JAMMA Cabinet For Sale? (Updated)

Okay, I've uploaded some pictures.

As mentioned, the cabinet has been redone, and I would rate my job...pretty darn good...out of a scale of crap to great. It's got a new Jamma harness in it, with a JPac card and Playstation 2 adaptor (with system), all included. Should you wish to convert to another gaming platform, you would just need to order the right adaptor and program the card for the right key/button mapping. For example: XBox ~ http://www.ultimarc.com/xba.html. For a conversion to MAME/PC, that's even easier, just hook up the PC. Now, this does not have a trackball, but I have the original trackball from the earlier MK2 conversion to World Class Bowling. BTW- That's what the big PCB is in the cab at the bottom inside left. That's fully operational for what it's worth.

On the monitor...I'm not an expert, but I do believe it is tri-sync (has more than one sync hook up??? Verticle, Horizontal, etc...) There is a little bit of burn in from the World Class Bowling days, but I personally don't really see it when the game is running. Only when it's off.

The side art is new, and in great condition. Went on really well and smooth. The control panel art is also new, but has a bubble or two. It's in pretty good shape actually, but not perfect.

Thoughts?

Where did you get the side art and the control panel art from?

what are you looking to get for it ?

To be honest, I'm not real sure. I was hoping to get some guidance from the folks here on what they're worth. With the JPac card in it, ive got a little bit of money tied in, but I'm not emotionally tied to it. $600????
