Im pretty proud of this thing so I wanted to share it with you guys and gals. It was alot of fun and alot of work. Its sitting in my gameroom which I also recently remodeled. I decided to keep the CP pretty straightforward because I have never liked the MAME cabs with huge CP's and a hundred buttons. This is all I need. I kept costs down by airbrushing the graphics instead of buying them. My original plans were to buy them. I had never really airbrushed before this. I just went at it and whatever came out, thats what Im stuck with. Marquee is from mamemarquees.com and is an exceptional piece. I kept the coin slots and wired them to light up so it looks more like a real arcade.
The audio came out great! I tried alot of different things including a 12" subwoofer but in the end the 2 original speakers sounded best to me and provide just the right amount of bass. It sounds really good when you crank it.
Another reason Im excited is because I built this machine for right at $200. Thats including the price of the cab, paint, computer, I-pac, VGA card, T-molding, marquee, buttons, everything. Thats hard to believe! It sure is alot of fun for partys and stuff. I will probably redo the big blue Street Fighter cab next.
