do you work with what you got or do you make new control panels when doing 60-1s?

I usually work with what I got, but have made some replacement panels out of sheet metal. but i am having trouble with bending the metal for the ones that I want to do now. i used to use a torch and jig but that doesnt seem to be working for me now like it used to. i tried an aluminum brake, but 16ga is too big for it.

i am very frustrated now. i am thinking of just doing a flat panel and integrating a wood piece for the 3/4" drop that it has and just throw tmolding on it.

Working on metal is not easy, not even the "easiest" operation of drilling a hole in it: you will need professional tools generally not as cheap as tools for wood are... If i was wearing your paints i would build up a wood panel :)
