Making an arcade run up to Seattle and back (March 16-20). Anyone need a game hauled?

Obligatory "If only I had more space" post. That's a great price for including transportation.

Give me a call if you want to stop by my place, or if you want to come to a repair party this Saturday down in Seattle.

Thanks for the invite! I am going to be at the Star Wars exhibit and with family on Saturday, but I'll see if I can peal away or perhaps Sunday or Monday.

I am all loaded up for the drive north. If anyone needs a game hauled back south shoot me a pm because I will be empty.

man i wish i could make it to the repair party this weekend but i'm booked solid with work until sometime after hell freezes over.

hey, look who showed up at my door a little after 9 pm?

Asteroids Deluxe was right in back, easily unloaded. (also in the trailer: SF Rush, Galaxian and Pooyan. Space Duel is in the truck bed.)

cut away the layers and layers of plastic wrap (would've given the Egyptians a run for their money,) checked the connections, plugged it in and woo-hoo! blasted me some asteroids!

Hey, didn't you pick up the Galaxian too? or did that go to someone else?

It's here, but I picked it up for Rick. I'd love to keep it for myself, but I think my wife would kill me, especially since we are picking up a Sinistar tomorrow.

Nice. Don't think I've ever seen a dedicated Pooyan before

Yeah Kevin is top-notch.

I am certain anyone who has met him or deals with him feels the same way.

one of the best!

Hey, thanks for all the kind words guys!

The trip went well. I wish I had more time to have spent up there and wish I could have met a few other people. I would have made it to the repair party, but was busy visiting family. Thanks for the invite though. I'll have to met some of you guys when I make it back up there for the show in a few months.

mc300baud - Great to meet you. Enjoy the AST DLX, it is probably my favorite game. I need to see your collection next time I am up there and have more time.

GaryMcT - Enjoy the games and it was great to chat with you and see your collection. Looking forward to seeing your new game room after you get it setup at your new place.

gmontag - I can't believe we got the game down there (and in one piece)! Great to meet you. Enjoy the Space Duel, it is a great game.

I am planning on making a trip up there for the Seattle show in a few months if anyone is looking to have a game transported there or back to Nor Cal. Fairly sure I am going to go up there with a trailer, but sometimes plans change, so check back in as the date gets closer.

Cheers!
Kevin

Was great meeting you Kevin!

I'm in love with the Pooyan. :) Have a NOS marquee and control panel on the way. . there's a good chance that they won't look any different than what is there already since they look so good, but I figured I'd give it a try. Likely to get some repro side art for it. Did some debugging on it tonight and figured out that the +12V isn't working on the power supply, and that's part of the reason why the audio doesn't work. If I plug the board from the cab into my jamma rig, I get a bunch of audio noise, so there are two problems. I'm very lucky to have the working board so that I can narrow these things down. :) Going to look into what it takes to fix the power supply now, and then I should be working with the board that I already had! Then I can move in to debugging the spare board. :)

I had no idea that I'd ever find one of these . . thanks a million for bringing it up for me! You'll hopefully get to play it in all its glory at the Seattle show!

I have a bunch of parts on the way for the SF Rush also to convert it to Alcatraz Edition with a compact flash cart, an adapter so that I can burn the roms for it, a pot to fix the steering, etc. It's already so fun without even working on it that I'm having a hard time working on it.

Thanks again, and see you at the show!

Also, I'll keep an eye out for the stuff that you are looking for up here, so if that list changes, let me know.

Gary

PS: I didn't realize that you were the guy doing the 4" Wico sticks. Very cool that you are working on that.
