Anyone familiar with these POS's help me out with this?

Makevision (Wei-Ya) 27" VGA. Installed on a F&F Bikes. Boot sequence causes the monitor to scramble, picture returns to normal but sometimes (6 out of 10 average) the monitor errors and display's the Out Of Range message box.

Tried adjusting the 6500 / 9000K from the menu but no change.

What am I missing here? It's been a freaking long day and maybe I'm not thinking this through and missing the obvious?

Your not going to want to hear this but this might not be a monitor failure. If that Super Bikes has a bad or going bad video card this sort of thing will heppen. I've seen it with Wells and Neo's as well so its not just a Mak issue.

Do you have another game that you can swap PC's with?

I swapped PC's and problem stayed. But it very well could be within the Video Cards as both PC's are of the same production year.

I'm going to install a new video card in the Bike and see if it goes away.

It's weird though, it only comes up 6 out of 10 boot sequences on average.

If your bikes have MicroTel's in them you can only use GeForce 7300's unless you have the video card patch CD. If you have the patch CD you can run up to a GeForce 9800 Ultra in them. A 9800 Ultra is totally over kill though. I find that 9500GT's are just fine.

If you have Dells in the bikes then they use ATI X1300's. Those cards seem to be hard to come by though. They HAVE TO BE the exact card or the software wont run. RT (Raw Thrills) has no update disk for the Dell's.

Old post but I thought I would post an update.

These Makevison (WeiYa) monitors are not compatible with Raw Thrills games that utilize the I/O board with one bank of dip switches. Apparently there is a newer I/O that has 2 banks of dip switches and Raw Thrills claims they *should* work in games equipped with the new I/O.

Who knows if it's true? I can only say that the problem has gone away with the new NeoTec I installed.
