Hey all,
the chip at position 9Q/R is an X2804AP-45 which is apparently a 4K Prom chip. Its got 24 legs and fits the standard socketed chip. My question are:
1. Is this game a burnable program PROM or something else.
2. Does this chip have a common substitution.
3. If it does have program data on it, where could I find the file.

Any other insights would be appreciated. Thanks.

Pretty sure that's an EEPROM (yes, two Es). It's Electrically Erasable. As such, it's not pre-programmed... the game itself writes data to it. It's likely used by the game to store settings and/or high scores.

Looks like Riptor sells them at twisty wrist.

Ahhhh,so its plug and play then, and thats where the game board keeps high scores and such?Sweet.

I have almost 2 full tubes of 'em here... drop me a PM.

Why yes, I am illiterate. I completely missed the part that said twisty wrist had them. But I've pm'd channelmanic since he could probably spare them more. That will be one more part down.
