Hey everyone. Question for you guys. I have a picture tube where the convergence is way off on bottom right corner of screen. Tried adjusting with the rings but seems to only make minor adjustments. Also note that the horizontal and vertical are aligned pretty well in the center, and seem to get worse when I mess with the rings. I also tried using some convergence strips (yoke strips) but its just not enough to pull this picture together. Do you think the yoke came out of place? As far as I know it is in it's factory location (still has the glue around it holding it). Any advice would help, I just don't want to make it worse than it is. Thanks.

my bet is that a magnet/mu-metal wafer inside of the yoke came loose.

you will have to pull it to find out, unless you see it laying in the cab or hanging out of the side of the yoke somewhere.

you could also try a little nickel sized hard magnet on the back corner of the tube.

This monitor came out of a daytona USA twin cab. I happen to know it took a bad spill in the delivery truck that I think caused this. Your idea that something inside the yoke came loose sounds like it makes sense, i'm just nervous if I take it apart I won't be able to line it back up properly. What exactly is a mu-metal wafer? Also if I put a magnet on the back of the tube won't it affect color purity? Thanks again forgive the lack of monitor knowledge!
