Here is an update on changes happening on the main site...
* PDF library sections (ie: aa.arcade-museum.com, etc.) were migrated into a new eLibrary section (https://elibrary.arcade-museum.com). This was released to beta ($20+ donors) at the end of May and launched in June.
* We had about 3,700 encyclopedia entries that had no images, but did have a flyer linked to them. In such cases, we display the flyer now on the page. Instantly, an extra 15% of our entries gained images. This was low hanging fruit we just never thought about before.
* Description queue -- people that had submitted comments about entries in the past and still had them in queue. We've worked through the list entirely -- about 1,000 submissions. New submissions are closed pending the new site which will have a different system for dealing with them.
* TAFA is being upgraded. At first, just on new infrastructure (though with some small minor functionality improvements). It's faster and web friendly. It was released to $20+ donors today and most likely to the public next week.
* We are working on the image backlog. A lot of the images are imperfect but we decided it was better to have them online then nothing all. In time, we can edit or replace them with better images. In the last 30 days we've added nearly 1,000 to the site from the image queue (https://www.arcade-museum.com/news/ ) with much more to follow.
* We continue to make many database optimizations which are speeding up the site and making it more resilient in general.
