Hey gang,
After many months of searching, I finally found and just picked up a Magic Sword game, but it has some problems with the screen. I'm not sure if this is a grapic or monitor problem, so I'm posting here just to be safe.
Description: When the game is turned on, the screen turns a pink color, and the sprites (characters, bad guys) appear as faint boxes, and you can faintly see the character animation inside. It doesn't exactly play blind, but there is no background and the characters are just moving in boxes. Sounds and controls are all fine. Does this sound like a familiar problem?
The game was working when I got it, but the previous owner described the same problem as happening before. They said they "opened the back, and wiggled some wires on the neck of the monitor tube/end board" -- a red one, to be a bit more specific -- and this apparently got it working again. I checked the connections, they all seem OK. But I didn't want to start jiggling wires without seeking the advice of experts first!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
