Start with the small board that is connected to the transformer (under the playfield). Those almost always have burnt connectors. As for a constant tilt....did you check all the tilts to make sure none were stuck closed? Also, try snipping out the cap that is connected to the plumb bob/roll ball tilt. Those caps can short and cause the machine to be in a constant tilt.

I have that exact same pin.
It's not finished at the moment but it is 100% (electronically) operational due to the fact that I practically rebuilt most of the boards.
There are many areas of concern on those old Stern pins. The rectifier board should be rebuilt and modded and the connectors go bad (as previously mentioned)
The MPU board most likely has acid damage.
remove the battery ASAP and try your best to repair the damage if it's repairable.
That site that O.Z. linked to is a great resource and IIRC it lists mods and required parts for the repairs. Follow it and you will most likely fix your problem. If not at least do the rec board mods and find a known working MPU board.
check out my rec board before I rebuilt it.

I actually replaced everything on that board including the fuse holders. I don't have an after pic but it looks different now with the higher current bridge recs with heat syncs on the front instead of the back. It works great now. That R1 still gets hot as the sun tough.
