Magfest

I was there Friday night and then had to leave Saturday afternoon. It was a damn good time. Lots of great games. I was mostly playing pinball and it seemed like there was a lot of interest in the pinballs as well as the arcade games.

Aurcade.com ran a very cool contest with a website that updated the scores as they came in on the contest machines. I checked the pinball contest on my phone on the way home to see who was currently in the lead.

I will be there longer next year and would be willing to bring a pin or a game with me if I can help the cause.

If you are the tall guy with the beard, you did some really heavy lifting to keep all of those things working. I was going to introduce myself, but there was never a time when you weren't working to keep things running smoothly. Great work!

yes auric is a great guy and helps run all the tourney's. his site and software is top notch.

yes please bring as many games as you want. we will be giving out special things to people who bring games to further the fun factor.

yes that was me. and you should have pulled me aside. i will always take time to talk to people and answer questions. i enjoy meeting people at magfest from klov.

with 141 machines. me and and 2 other people take care of almost all of them. so its an on going job.

i'll start a new thread when i get more info about next year. and yes we will be in the same place i know that for sure.

Magfest On NPR

My mom and dad just called to say they heard about magfest on NPR.

According to the report, 6,000 people were there. I knew there were lots of people, but I had no idea it was that many.

yea it was actually 6,200 for the more accurate final count.
it actually doubled in size this year.

I had a good time at MAGFest, I went with my friend Joseph Saturday and Sunday cause he had a panel. Enjoy the arcades.

hey don't worry it will be back next year. so plan for it now i will have the dates very soon. it will be in early January again.

they also did a interview on 98ROCK with a couple of the magfest staff the day it started. i wish i could find a recording of that to listen to.

i think we made it on to dDC101 as well but i don't know for sure.
