MAGfest X is comming

The software for the MAGfest custom Arkanoid was completed last night, and the board was shipped off to Buffett today. Here are some of the features that made it in:

  • High Score Save (with reset via Test mode)
  • Freeplay
  • Optional Level-Select screen
  • Upright/Cocktail mode selectable
  • Training/Testing mode (255 lives)
  • Open warp door to next level cheat (via Service switch)
  • Fast boot, and quick reboot (via the Tilt switch)
and, of course, all new levels designed by Buffett!

Standard options that are still available: Difficulty, Screen Flip, Continue Play, and Bonus vaus score selection.

Hopefully you can make it to MAGfest and try it out. For those who can't, Buffet promises to take some videos. :)

thanks mat cant wait to get it and try it out before magfest.

magfest is coming up fast.

hope to see all of you there.

Peace
Buffett

I got my pre-reg in the other night... so I'm READY!!!

I want to check out your arcade but a single day pass is $40! I was thinking it would be $20 at most since the four-day passes are $55. They would get a lot more business if the single day passes were more reasonable. I don't think I can justify $40 to spend a few hours there.

that is cheap, all other con's/fest's i have been to are 60+ for single day passes. some are 80+ now that's insane. and all you really do is walk and look and buy no interaction involved like Magfest.

plus a bigger more expensive venue costs more.

last year we cad a cap at 3000 due to fire code reg's.
this venue is 25,000+ for its fire reg's it is also a high class place you will be wode'ed by the size of it.

you should have pre regged for 40.00 and got all 4 days.

even when single day passes were available at the old venue they were 25or 30 i cant remember witch it was now.

come on open your wallet and come you wont be disappointed trust me.

That's unfortunate. I didn't realize the prereg price would be so much difference compared to the single day price at the gate.

Thanks! I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to get in all the features Buffett wanted in time for the tournament (I was a bit rushed at the end... mostly due to my own procrastination). The next version will be even better!

I totally agree... I was thinking of just doing the single day, but decided to just pre-reg. If I had known the single day was gonna be $40, I woulda pre-reg'd a long time ago. I figured it'd be ~$30. $55 for the whole weekend at the door seems reasonable though.

thanks to matt we will have a great time with it. cant wait for the next revision to the software.

i tried to get all of ya'll to pre-reg early and save money.
that way it would be the best deal and you can come and go as you please.
everything there is 24 hours a day nothing shuts down. 3:00am is just like 5:00pm there. everything is always going full tilt for 4 days 24-7. and it's all free to do all the time.

hope to see everybody there.

OH!! and i will challenge any body to beat me in MKII i don't think any body can go the distance against me:aetsch::hahaha:

Is a day pass going to be a calendar day or starting at a certain time going until the rest of the day or what exactly is considered a day? Thanks! Can't wait.

Wish i could have made it this year. If any of you are going be sure to stop by our RetroGamingRoundup booth and say hi to Scotty. And see if you can play his Computer Space :)

It was an awesome show, and I was honored that you guys wanted The American Classic Arcade Museum (ACAM) to participate in the arcade room. ACAM will certainly be back again next year, and I am sure we will participate in a bigger and better way.

Suggestion for next year -- Let's just make sure you and I & the rest of the arcade group don't have dinner at Cadillac Ranch again. :)

You guys brought a great selection of games. There was a little bit of everything there.

ACAM's photos can be found here.....
