I'm in this year. when do things get started thursday? I'm wondering if I should take off thursday to get there early or just come up after work around 7-8 pm.
 
yes Thursday is the opening day.

get there as soon as you can the fun starts around noon Thursday.

I'm probably going to be there Friday night and Saturday at least. BTW, if you haven't already gotten your tickets, prices for pre-registration go up on Nov. 1: http://magfest.org/prereg .

Also, if anyone wants in on the group rate, let me know ASAP... we've got a large enough group w/ friends and co-workers that we're gonna do the group registration @ $30 each. We'll probably be buying the tickets on Friday, so let me know by Thurs. night. It says tickets are transferrable, so if you can't make it, you can sell it to someone else. And the badge is registered to you, so we don't all have to show up together. But we should have a KLOV meetup. :)

WASHINGTON, DC — NOVEMBER 4, 2011 — MAGFest, The Music And Gaming Festival, is proud to announce Nobuo Uematsu and EARTHBOUND PAPAS as guests at the next upcoming MAGFest, January 5-8, 2012, in National Harbor, MD. Nobuo Uematsu is best known for being the primary composer for the Final Fantasy series of video games. Uematsu's band, EARTHBOUND PAPAS, will be performing new originals as well as arrangements of Uematsu classics in their second American performance to date. EARTHBOUND PAPAS features a line up of talented musicians, many of which are former members of Uematsu's previous band, The Black Mages.

In addition to Nobuo Uematsu and EARTHBOUND PAPAS, MAGFest attendees can expect to see a huge lineup of guests and bands.
